Who Am I and What Am I Doing? Therapist’s Identity and Operationality…
While, words spoken bring a change and differentiation sometimes in therapist, sometimes in the person who is consulted, sometimes in therapy and sometimes in all of them, it sometimes faces with a resistance. On the other hand, the resistance can be broken by the “therapist’s identity”. Under this frame of reference, how do identities of human-beings who go into a room together influence their mutual operationality and how does this mutual operationality influence their identities? Moreover, how is the co-operationality and co-identification affected? Rather than to make an explanation about therapist’s identity, the purpose of this presentation to create an insight about how the therapeutic impact comes into existence even if it is not done by a therapist or the person who calls himself/herself as a “therapist”. The effects of a human-being’s operations on his/her identity, and the effects of a human-being’s identity on his/her operations will be discussed.
