A Family - Couple - Marriage Therapy carried out in 6 interviews by System Approach is being presented. Each interview is 3 hours. Interviews are held with spouses. The children and the Extended Family are also included into the scope of studies.
In the First Interview, Format and Frame of interview is defined. Demographic Information is noted. Listening and Speaking Skills, Equal Speech Time, Circular Causality, Mind Reading, Neutrality of Therapist, Therapy Being Education and Confidentiality principles are explained.
Troubles perceived by each spouse are noted based on Emotional, Cognitive and Living Dimensions. The Current phase of the family is defined and explanations proper to the situation are made.
At the end of first interview, the spouses are asked to decide freely whether or not to continue to therapy. The spouses are informed that, whether they should decide to continue, five more interviews shall be conducted and at the final, Acquired Changes at Behavioral Patterns are going to be evaluated by their scaling. It is also indicated that four more interviews should be held in case found necessary and a second evaluation could be done.
During the studies, Basic Intervention, Role Playing, Reframe, Family Photographs, Humor, Remembering the Past, Homework and Discussion techniques are applied. The notions of Family Discussion Technique, Problem Solving, Mutual Agreement, the Conflict Resolving Methods, Communication Skills, Family Rules, Self Criticism, Touching and Empathy techniques are tried to be established within the relation among the spouses. The previous interview is summarized and Positive Aspects are clearly emphasized.
At the presentation, Hypothesis Establishment, Preparation Work, Question Formulating, Declarations of spouses through their original expressions and
Acquired Changes will be explained. Finally, evaluation of all Behavioral Changes acquired by spouses throughout the study period by their own scaling and the Ending Process will be presented.
