Married Teachers Considering Their Demographics in reltaion to Attribution and Marital Satisfaction Viewing it From This Angle
The main purpose of this study is: the relations between cause and responsibility attributions, considering and taking into account their instinet, focus, stability, consistency, intentions, generality accusation plus their gender, age, pre- marital get to-know each othe period, type of marriage, having children. These are the factors and agents taken into cousideration.
This research has been done during the 2008-2009 school year in the province of Adana with total 165 married teachers (91 male, 74 female). In pursuing this study goal, “Information Form”, “Marital Life Scale” (MLS) and “Relationship Attribution Measure” (RAM) were administered to 165 teachers. Data obtained have been analysed statistically by using SPSS Windows Packet Programme. Pearson product moment correlations analys have been carried out on these data. The level of significance was selected as p<.05.
As a result of this study, there is a great difference towards the attitudes of the genders between the couples. In this connection relative to the couples senses of pesponsibilities there is a great amount of gap between an full expectation of a marriage consept and what the reality of the marriage is. In this research it has been found and discovered that women look at the assesment and avaluation of the marriage from the resspective of an in born instinct. Considering the change involving the demographical differences we don’t any different expectations in regard to age, period of knowing each other, marriage age, type of marriage and having children in the marriage. We can only see the cause and responsibilitiy attributions relationship surfacing in our marriage survey.
