Dealing with ”Difficult” clients and ”difficult’ moments in Family Therapy: Use of Self In Satir Transformational Systemic Therapy
Use of Self is an important essential element in Satir Transformational Systemic Therapy in helping clients experience transformational change. It is hoped that participants who have participated in the presenter’s first presentation will gain new information, skill and awareness regarding their own internal processes when working with ‘difficult ‘ clients and experiencing ’difficult’ moments in therapy. Participants will experientially learn about Use of Self, using Satir Transformational Systemic Therapy tools (i.e. Iceberg metaphor, stances) in processing their and their clients’ internal systems and the interactional system that takes place in therapy. Priority will be given to the participants who have attended to the first workshop. New participants are also welcome.
WORKSHOP PLAN:
1..Recognizing self and clients’ primary survival coping stances using sculpting of Satir Communication Stances
2..Processing self and clients’ internal system using the Iceberg Metaphor Experiencing congruent ‘being’ by Use of Self
